I founded North 100 Design & Training in January of 2000 in Moretown, Vermont to offer professional training and design services for Web and print. Living and working in Vermont has been a dream come true. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York which I loved, but I always longed for the natural beauty and mountains of Vermont. Having a background in fine arts and graphic arts, the business naturally veered toward serving Vermont's strong artistic community. I love working with artists of all kinds their creative spirit inspires and challenges me to create a product that not only honors their vision but exceeds their expectations. In addition to good planning and programing, I also feel a great end product, Web or print, is the result of creative collaboration with our clients.
I have nearly 20 years in the computer graphic arts industry providing technical instruction and professional training throughout the US and British Columbia to publishers, newspapers, commercial printers, advertising agencies, and small and home-based businesses alike. My knowledge covers all areas of desktop publishing, prepress, postscript, computer-to-plate, and full-color commercial printing.
For the past 10 years I've been specializing in Web development and design (click here to view my Web portfolio). I continually challenge myself to learn all the latest technologies and applications in this ever-changing field. I love both the technical aspects and the aesthetics that can be brought to Web development, and have been hooked ever since. Currently, I am very excited to offer Joomla! CMS (Content Management System) sites. Joomla! is the fastest growing open source, Content Management System (CMS). I'm also teaching a course on Web Design in a small classroom setting at the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe, Vermont.
